Overall Economy

Garwood Kern

“If some would like to turn this into class warfare, I,
that’s not how I think: I think about the overall economy.”

— George W. Bush, 1/2/2003

The overall economy is national.
The overall economy is global.
The overall economy is universal.
The overall economy is over all.

That’s why the Chinese say,
don’t swat the fly on the head
of your friend with an axe.
Not economical.

And if he’s not your friend,
it’s still not economical.

But if he has weapons of mass destruction,
which should be abbreviated to wmd’s,
but are not, though digital versatile disks are,
even though they have the same number of syllables,
and no one really knows what DVD stands for,
then you need to blow him up with bigger weapons
of uneconomically unabbreviated mass destruction.

But then the question arises:
is it economical?

Well, if his weapons of mass destruction
can potentially kill X number of people,
and you really kill XX number of people,
when you blow him up with your here we go
again weapons of mass destruction,
then you can call them collateral damage.

Overall and over all,
that’s economical.
